My aim is to help you practice in a way that will benefit you in your life and your sport, bringing a feeling of groundedness and ease to your body, and calmness to your mind.
The classes focus on opening and balancing shoulders and hips, releasing tension in the spine, as well as stretching tight muscles and caring for joints, to allow the body to move as best it can.
I have a passion for Yoga for Sports, and will help you keep your body working for you, so that you can keep on enjoying your sport!
Holding a certificate from Bangor University to teach mindfulness-based courses, I incorporate my knowledge of mindfulness meditation in all my yoga classes.
Feel free to pop in to one of my classes in and around Wimbledon Village. Welcome as you are!

FEELING FREE
Once during meditation, I suddenly “saw” all my difficult thoughts as clusters of cells held tightly together in different places in my head. I remember thinking: “Why do I choose to keep these cells clustered together? If I just release them and let there be space around them, allow them…
LETTING GO
The hardest thing I have ever done? To let go of my husband. Things were going wrong, I was thinking it was just a difficult phase, a time in a marriage when things are more challenging, but I was simply fooling myself. I probably knew that the marriage could not…
THE SHOULDER REGION
Shoulders have been the main focus in my classes this week. The shoulder region tends to be a place in the body where many of us hold a lot of stress, so it is beneficial to release tension in this area in order to take care of our overall wellbeing.…
WEAVE YOUR PARACHUTE
Life always happens to us, doesn’t it? For most of us (all of us!) unpredictable things come up and we have to deal with them. We deal with one thing, think we are fine, and then another troublesome thing pops up. It is so inconvenient!! However, I guess this is…
UNLINKING OF THE LINK WITH PAIN
Tuesday 10 October is this year’s World Mental Health Day, so it feels as an appropriate time to mention how the practice of yoga can help with emotional pain. Every time someone tells me they practice yoga, t’ai chi or qigong, I feel happy – and I tell them! To…
BEING VS DOING
You might already have heard that we are human beings and not human doings? And yet, we are experts at doing and not so good at simply being. Hm… Once, at a meditation retreat, somebody said: “I find it challenging balancing the Being and the Doing in my life, do…
WHAT IS YOGA TO YOU?
This summer I got so inspired by a trailer I came across for a documentary called Yogawoman (released in 2011). The film is about female yoga teachers and how they are transforming the world of yoga to women. Below are a couple of quotes regarding what yoga can offer, taken…
PSOAS WORK WORKS
In order to get to my holiday destination this summer, I drove 1,400 km over two days. That is quite a long drive for me. One month later I did the return trip. And what a positive difference on the body this return trip was! The difference was the feeling…
