Learn from three female entrepreneurs how to start and scale up a small business.
We have gathered together a fantastic panel of speakers all of whom are female founders of SMEs. They will discuss the highs and lows of setting up their businesses, how they have scaled up their businesses, the importance of seeking help from team members or virtual assistants and the way in which they have ensured that their businesses are fully sustainable.
If you are thinking of starting a business or would like to take your already existing business to the next level, this talk is a must!
Stephanie Betts is the Founder of Josephine Home, a British luxury homeware brand inspired by their belief in the current lack of elegant , understated true luxury in the homeware market. Born from a passion for craftsmanship and sustainable luxury, its design was inspired by Savile Row’s bespoke suiting: discreet but unmistakably indulgent and luxurious, combined with a French approach to detailing. Stephanie started as a sleep deprived financial lawyer at Wall Street firm Sullivan & Cromwell, before moving to the slightly lighter schedule of investment banking in NY and London, with a nagging feeling that someone needed to sort out the ‘Sleep’ . A love story ensued with England and its tradition of craftsmanship and a conviction that if each product has a story to tell, it will be treasured for years to come.
Melanie Morton is the Founder & Creative Director, YUNION T. Melanie studied a Fashion Design BA at university. Following graduation, she started work for a London Fashion PR agency, which led to a career in PR and Marketing for over 20 years, working for ‘blue chip’ brand clients across the FMCG sector - retail, luxury brands, fashion, beauty, food and drink. The concept for YUNION T had been in her head for years and in 2015 she took the leap to leave her Senior Board Director role to launch the brand – a full 360 degree turn back to her design routes.
