My son recently attended Objective’s Gap Year Travel Safety course, in London last September in preparation for his gap year travels to S E Asia. He was a little sceptical about attending a ‘Safety Course’ but I wanted to make sure that he was aware of the dangers and issues that he may face whilst travelling abroad so that he could not only stay safe but also to really make the most of his experience abroad.

The course covered so many subjects from what to take, where to stay, safe buses and taxis, how to avoid danger as well as first-aid, diseases such as Malaria and Dengue Fever, safe food and water and so much more. Both trainers were well travelled and extremely knowledgeable offering their own experience of their travels to the course.

In addition to the very well-informed preparation talk, he also took part in some role-play and scenarios. Again – so useful and the instructors did all of this is a fun and enjoyable way.

I would highly recommend Objective’s Gap Year Travel Safety course to anyone who is planning a Gap Year travelling abroad.
