Thinking about replacing our kitchen/family room carpet. Currently using nice vinyl tiles in kitchen area and carpet in dining area.
Who has or has been both and can help me with the advantages / disadvantages?

Very true said. My preference is always the hardwood flooring.

    Hi, Alfreda!

Carpets are usually cheaper than hard flooring of any kind. But since I’m allergic to dust, my votes are all for vinyl or hard wood tiles! Also, hard flooring is much easier to clean if you’ve spilt something, so it would be a prefect choice for your kitchen.
