Across the globe today, organisations and individuals are coming together for World Menopause Day, to help educate and inform women about their hormone health.

Although we are starting to see more coverage in the media, there is still a great deal more awareness to be raised and help needed.

Two recent surveys in the UK found that 90% of women don't recognise their own perimenopausal symptoms. Of those that do, 4 out of 10 are not approaching their GP as they fear they won't get the right support or are concerned about the possible risks of using HRT.

Last month's article in the medical journal, The Lancet, which highlighted an increased risk of breast cancer for women taking HRT, has caused alarm both for medical professionals and women themselves. However, specialists agree that this research can be misleading and that each woman must be treated as an individual, in terms of their symptoms, treatment and any potential side-effects.

At the Really Helpful Club, we are leading the conversation about menopause and are running our regular community events with leading experts to help women prepare for and manage both peri-menopause and menopause.

Our website Business Directory is also packed full of health, wellbeing and nutrition experts who can help you navigate through the menopause and more. We've highlighted just a few of them below, so do read on and click on the links for more information.
