Back To Business Testimonials
A sincere thank you to you and the team for delivering an empowering conference.
{Thank you so much for hosting and organising the most fabulous day yesterday. As mentioned by so many there was a great energy in the room, and it was fantastic listening to the challenges and successes of your panellists, many of which resonated with me. The afternoon breakout sessions were so helpful in identifying weaknesses within our own business, and very generously you have now shared the resources to help us address them. Feeling enthused and ready to make plans for 2024. Thank you for a cracking event.
{Oh my goodness the atmosphere in the room was magical. From the amazing panel to BBC’s Mishal Husain’s’ brilliant keynote and Q&A, Sarah Austin put on a magnificent ‘show’ (as always). I loved breaking the ice with my mini networking masterclass, people came up to me afterwards to thank me for giving them the courage to ‘do’ small talk. Such a valuable day packed full of takeaways, tips and a feeling of empowerment. I’d love to do it all over again.
{Wow I can’t believe it’s a week since the amazing conference that you hosted. What an incredible action packed day. So much food for thought. Some wonderful new contacts and some old familiar faces. Thank you – I know a lot of hard work goes into making the day what it has become. Mishal Husain was such a motivational speaker. I loved the way she seems to exude an understated air of confidence. I understand her colleague Nick Robinson, once described her as “cool, calm & precise” – and that is certainly how she came across on Thursday. I am looking forward to reading her book and picking up some tips. I loved the timing of Esther’s networking talk as you could see everyone, me included, actively incorporating her tips into their coffee break as well as at lunchtime. And I particularly enjoyed Joy’s workshop – I can’t wait to start her online course. Thank you to you and the team behind the day.
{I cannot believe that this is the first time in your nearly ten year history that I have suddenly discovered you all! It was a wonderful high octane occasion. Impressive speakers, motivating and uplifting attendees, each with a rich and evocative story to share. I bounced home with a spring in my step. I shall be recommending this club to other women folk I know who are either pivoting in their careers or just need a friendly hand up , or words of encouragement. This was literally transformational for me…WELL DONE SARAH for tapping into this space and giving us ALL an audience. I no longer feel like an echo in a chamber – I have a battalion of wonderful women behind me
{
The ‘Back to Business’ conference was brilliant! Thank you so much Sarah and Really Helpful Club. I’ve been meaning to go for years but was never sure whether it was for me … but as Sarah says, ‘It’s for all of us’. I got much more from it than I expected with the potential for follow-ups. A room full of interesting and energised people sharing their skills and knowledge. It was a great day and I can’t wait for next year.
{The Really Helpful Club Back to Business event was fantastic. This is my second Really Helpful Club event and once again surpassed all expectations. Brilliant speakers, incredible host (Sarah Austin), awesome content and great networking – along with fantastic tips to take the pressure off and truly enjoy the networking experience. I highly recommend joining the ‘Really Helpful Club’ if you haven’t already and attending one of Sarah’s events – a very worthwhile investment and the opportunity to grow, develop your business and your career, and meet fabulous people.
{The momentum on the ‘unleashing your power when you’re over 50’ is gathering pace. Over the past 5 years I’ve seen a lot of change happen: it takes everyone to make an effort and this panel showed that in spades. Michelle with her podcast, Dominie with her free resource hub, Catherine using the weight of the Phoenix group to steer research and of course ourselves at Brave Starts offering career guidance through our workshop series – there really is an enormous array of support and options which simply didn’t exist even 5 years ago. Get on board, this rocket has launched!
{It was a privilege to shape the discussion on financial planning and why it’s crucial to have agency in the matter, no matter our knowledge base or starting point. Fiona provided invaluable insights and practical steps to help us chart a clearer course to feel more empowered, informed and engaged in the process.
{I wanted to say a huge thank you for the amazing event you hosted on Thursday 29th. I felt lucky to participate on the day ( with TechPixies). It meant a lot to me, to attend such an uplifting event, as a woman who was a stockbroker , then became a single parent who lived overseas for 10 yes, returning to London just 2 years ago, trying to find a new dream/purpose. I particularly loved when you talked about your imposter syndrome. It brought a huge sigh of relief to myself and I am sure, to many others.
