Wellbeing

The best thing you’ll ever do is believe in yourself. You are capable of amazing things!

We owe it to ourselves to invest in our wellbeing so that we can share our experiences and invest in others. Sometimes we can lose our own sense of identity when giving so much of ourselves to another person or cause. It’s vital to put aside personal time, whether it’s daily, weekly, monthly or as and when you can, devoted to our own health and wellness.

The better we feel about ourselves, the more able we are to focus on our goals and personal development. The healthier we are in our mind and bodies, the more we can give to others to help them achieve an improved state of wellbeing. Our thriving community of like-minded people and business directory members share their own experiences and valuable advice.

Testimonials
“I was at a complete loss; I had lost faith in the medical professionals – doctors, surgeons and felt helpless. Your intervention, expertise and wisdom have been lifechanging. To think how far I have come in a year is miraculous, I can’t thank you enough. My gut and I have never been such good friends!”
Lucy (PhD)

“I totally trust Miki with my health. She’s extremely knowledgeable and really cares about supporting her clients. She’s persistent in finding the source of any health concerns – in my case hormonal. Gives you the facts with clear explanations, in a no-nonsense way, so you know what you need to do. Diligent and professional, she’s also pragmatic, recognising that we’re human. As a bonus to all of that, she’s an absolute delight to chat with.”
Louise

“Having increasingly suffered from a bloated feeling in my stomach and heartburn in my early 50’s I was recommended to see Miki. The initial consultation and follow up was outstanding and the results over the following 12 months were quite simply life changing! I could not recommend Miki and the practice highly enough!”

Childline

A child contacts our Childline service every 25 seconds.

They talk to us about things like bullying, self-harm and depression. Problems that children often feel they can’t talk to anyone else about.
With your generosity and support Childline can be here to help those young people find their voice.

We’re here for children who feel they have no one else to talk to and nowhere else to turn. Every day of the year, 24 hours a day, our counsellors are there to listen, whatever their worry, online and on the phone.

The good news is that many children did find the courage to speak to us last year and get the help they need so they can get their life back on track.
But this number puts a great strain on our services. The simple truth is, we can only respond to 3 out of 4 children who need our help. It’s only with the support of people like you that Childline can continue to be there for the children who desperately need us so that they can look to the next day with hope.

Macmillan Merton Committee

We raise money exclusively for local Macmillan projects based at St. George’s, Epsom & St. Helier, The Royal Marsden and Kingston Hospitals, directly for the benefit of our community.

Currently we are raising funds for a Junior Nurse Specialist at St. George’s Hospital, who will work across a variety of cancers, with the possibility of looking at the impact of Covid-19 on cancer. The cost of this post is £118,651.

Macmillan nurses, doctors and other health professionals continue to support people with cancer, whilst doing all they can to help alleviate the immense strain put on the NHS by coronavirus. In addition, comprehensive cancer information and support is available on www.macmillan.org.uk and the Macmillan Support Line on 0808 808 00 00, which is open 7 days a week.

These services are needed now more than ever, but they can’t continue without your help. With so many events cancelled, we are only able to take donations through our page on Enthuse: https://macmillan-org.enthuse.com/merton/profile. Please consider donating today to help make sure Macmillan can keep delivering this critical support in the weeks and months to come.
