Empowering women – International Women’s Day 2020
Empowering women can help not only the individuals themselves but see small and large businesses thrive, and have an impact on the wider community
This Sunday, 8th March, International Women’s Day will be celebrated around the world. The theme this year is #EachForEqual; forging a gender equal world, celebrating women’s achievements and taking action on inequality and bias. At the Really Helpful Club, we see first hand how empowering women can help not only the individuals themselves but see small and large businesses thrive, and have an impact on the wider community.
Inspirational business founders
We know from our Back to Business programme of events that there is a growing pool of talented and well-educated women who, after leaving the workplace, lack the confidence or opportunity to find the right role. There is a growing need for skills development, expanding networking opportunities and boosting confidence. In this week’s newsletter we’re turning the spotlight on some of the female entrepreneurs in the RHC network. They have all had different journeys to finding their new path, and many of them are also empowering other women on their journey through their life and career. We hope you will find their stories inspirational and helpful in making your own career and business choices. We’re extremely lucky to have a wealth of successful businesses and founders in our Directory, so do have a browse on our website.
