Solutions for the Sandwich Generation

Welcome to our Family Matters Conference. This is a unique event with expert speakers and thought-provoking discussions for anyone who may be juggling the demands of parenting young children and teenagers or older children coming back home, as well as the commitments of caring for older parents, or simply preparing for empty nesting and their own later years.

Our series of talks and interactive panel discussions with leading industry experts will explore a range of topics including the importance of financial and legal planning, the joys and opportunities of travel and adventure in midlife and beyond, looking after your own wellbeing and that of your family as well as dementia and later life care needs.

This event is all about helping you plan for your future, getting conversations started across the generations, and living happy, healthy and purposeful lives.

Thank you once again for organising such an impactful and personally enriching event. Some amazing takes from today around finances, social care, holidays and so much more.  I have already compiled a short list of suitable quotes and the following are just a few I shall weave into my own personal pitch narrative going forward:  “looking for my passion for purpose”; “reignite the spark from within”; “we have agency over our biological self.. with some basic tweaks we can create effortless health management “; “don’t let the old girl in” , “plan your work and then work your plan” , “always start with the core proposal which is self – and put health and well being at the top of your list”. We had a sprinkle of that magic dust again today – how blessed are all of us.

I wanted to thank you very much for having me at your Family Matters conference last Thursday. I thought it was wonderful and you navigated delicate conversations (divorce, dementia, elderly parents’ care) beautifully. I have a young toddler and help care for my father who has late stage Alzheimer’s so it was particularly pertinent for me.
