Jubilee May Fair

Spring shopping fundraiser for Macmillan in Merton

I have been volunteering with Macmillan for over 10 years now, it’s rewarding work and sadly the funds we raise are much needed. Our committee choses projects in the local community and currently we are supporting the cancer unit at St Georges Hospital. I’d love to invite you to our latest fundraiser so as the weather looks like improving pencil the date in your diary – you deserve a bit of Me Time!

Wednesday 11th May will see a small but perfectly formed shopping fair pop up at Wimbledon Rugby Club in Barham Road. A hand picked bunch of independent businesses will be bringing a wonderful selection of goodies for you, your home and a treasure trove of gift ideas too. 10% of everything you spend will go direct to fund our project.

If you are looking to kick-start your summer wardrobe You’ll be able to browse a selection of Sustainable and Eco friendly fashion from me – SW19LONDON.COM. Or choose relaxed kaftans and cool cotton robes from WRAP UP IN STYLE. Add a pair of beautiful earrings from METTE HØJ JEWELLERY and a new leather handbag from BRANDING HOUSE and you’ll be ready for the season.

Getting ready for a spring clean? Look no further than ISABEL HAINES HERITAGE BRANDS who has every possible brush, gorgeous French soaps and classic kitchen essentials too. Cheer up your kitchen with a splash of colourful homewares from INDIGO PRAWN and add a soothing scent with room sprays and diffusers from CORNUCOPIA.

If you are entertaining then ME BALI have a fabulous range of polish pottery including stunning serving dishes and if your guests are staying, you can spoil them with luxurious new bath towels and organic olive oil beauty products from SIMPLY NATURALE.

Perhaps you are staying with friends, if so ANTIQUE TEA CUP CANDLES are the perfect hostess gift. Beautiful antique porcelain filled with delicately scented soy wax – stylish and useful too.

For all you garden enthusiasts, we are delighted to introduce MAULTWAY METALWORKS who hand-make beautiful horticultural metalwork – etageres, pot stands and sculptures in the Surrey Hills.

By popular demand, a wonderful array of homemade cakes and preserves produced by the talented committee and friends will be on sale – come early if you want the Lemon Drizzle! Plus some greetings cards from local designers. If that doesn’t tempt you then I don’t know what will! Please spread the word to your friends and neighbours, there’s loads of free parking so the more the merrier!

If you would like to get involved with fund-raising for Macmillan come and say hello. All the best Amanda
