Knowing me, knowing you, how to flex your behaviour for TEENS
It’s a confusing time for teens right now. By understanding your own & family behaviour preferences will help build stronger relationships.
In this time of uncertainty for many of us, especially our teens and young adults, confidence in our abilities and our strengths are key. The world is changing fast. Robotics and AI have changed the landscape for career opportunities significantly in the last few years and will continue to do so. With the addition of COVID, no exams, reduced internship and gap year opportunities cancelled, no wonder our young adults could be concerned or confused about what the future holds.
One of the tools I use with my clients, young and old, early careers to CEOs focuses on understanding your own strengths and the value you bring to a team or group. It brings the know-how to articulate it, therefore increasing your confidence. In addition to self-awareness, this tool also helps you be more understanding of others, helping you build stronger relationships and trust too.
This tool is called C-Me, a colours-based psychometric tool which focuses on your behaviour preferences. To find out more about how understanding your behaviour preferences can support you with growing strong relationships at home and at work, do listen to a recent podcast with fellow RHC member The Parent Practice and Elaine Halligan. The Importance of Understanding Self, for Future Happiness and Success.
On 15th July at 8pm, I shall also be running an introductory seminar to behaviour preferencing using C-Me. C-Me is a simple and memorable way of understanding
- your own preferred way of doing things
- your preferred ways of working
- your preferred roles you play in a team
- your preferred ways to communicate and be communicated too
The aim of C-Me is to firstly understand self which helps you understand others, giving you the knowledge to change behaviour to improve relationships. During lock-down, this knowledge can really highlight what your teen and young adult need to be their best self.
