Empowering Intimacy & Connection
Our relationships shape so much of our lives. The relationship we have with ourselves, our partners, our families and our friends can influence how confident, connected, supported and fulfilled we feel. They can bring us enormous joy, but they also require understanding, communication and, sometimes, the confidence to navigate change.
Relationships do not stand still. We change, the people around us change and what we need from our relationships can change too. Long term partnerships evolve. Intimacy and desire can shift. Friendships come and go. Children grow up. New relationships begin, others end, and sometimes we find ourselves questioning what connection, love and fulfilment really mean to us.
At the heart of all of this is our relationship with ourselves. Our confidence, identity, body image, boundaries and ability to understand and communicate what we need can influence every relationship we have.
You & Your Relationships 2027 – Empowering Intimacy & Connection creates a supportive and open space to explore the relationships that matter to us. From love, sex and intimacy to friendship, family, dating, communication and our relationship with money, this is a day for honest conversations about how we connect with ourselves and each other.
Bringing together the Really Helpful Club community with trusted experts, inspirational speakers and leading thinkers, the conference combines thought provoking conversations, practical insight and interactive workshops. Together, we will explore how to understand ourselves better, communicate more openly, strengthen the connections we value and navigate relationship change with greater confidence.
Whether you are happily settled, navigating change, dating again, strengthening friendships, rediscovering intimacy or simply interested in building more meaningful connections, You & Your Relationships is an opportunity to pause, learn, ask the questions we do not always talk about and invest in the relationships that shape our lives.

What the day is about
You & Your Relationships 2027 takes a whole life approach to intimacy and connection. It is about understanding ourselves better, strengthening the relationships that matter to us and having more open conversations about the subjects that can sometimes be difficult to discuss.
Through a carefully curated programme of keynote speakers, panel conversations and practical workshops, we will explore:
- Your relationship with yourself, including self worth, identity, confidence, body image, boundaries and understanding what you need.
- Love and long term relationships, from maintaining connection and companionship to understanding how relationships evolve as we do.
- Sex, intimacy and desire, including changing desire, body confidence, hormones, menopause and how we keep intimacy and connection alive.
- Communication and conflict, including how to listen, feel heard, express what you really need, set boundaries and approach difficult conversations.
- Dating and finding love, including modern dating, dating after separation or divorce and having the confidence to begin again.
- Friendship and belonging, from maintaining meaningful friendships and making new connections to changing friendships, loneliness and finding your people.
- Family relationships, including changing dynamics with children, siblings and wider family, and how we maintain connection as relationships evolve.
- Separation, divorce and starting again, exploring how to navigate relationship change, rebuild confidence and create positive connections moving forward.
- Money and relationships, including financial independence, honesty, shared decisions, different attitudes towards money and the influence finances can have on our relationships.
- Relationships in a digital world, including online dating, social media, technology and how our increasingly connected lives can affect genuine human connection.
This is not therapy, and there is no expectation to share personal experiences in public. It is a supportive, intelligent and practical environment where you can listen, learn, ask questions and explore different perspectives at your own pace.
Some conversations will be thought provoking, others practical, and some may make us laugh about the things we do not talk about nearly enough. Above all, the day is about helping us create stronger, healthier and more fulfilling relationships with ourselves and the people who matter to us.

Welcome & Opening Speech
Sarah Austin, Founder of Really Helpful Club, sets the tone for an inspiring day of growth, connection, and possibility.
Self-Love, Confidence & Empowerment
An open and empowering conversation exploring self-love, confidence and the relationship we have with ourselves.
Every relationship starts with the one we have with ourselves. But how often do we put our own needs, confidence and happiness first?
This thought-provoking conversation explores self-awareness, self-worth, confidence and empowerment, looking at how we can better understand ourselves, embrace who we are and feel more comfortable expressing what we want from life and relationships.
From changing expectations and personal identity to dating, intimacy and finding confidence at different stages of life, our expert panel will share honest perspectives, practical insight and encouragement to help you build a stronger relationship with yourself.
Coffee & Conversations
Take a moment to recharge over coffee and refreshments, meet our exhibitors and continue the conversations with speakers and fellow guests before we come back together for the next session.
Love, Money & Financial Freedom
An insightful conversation exploring the powerful connection between money, relationships and personal independence.
Money influences so much more than our bank balances. It can shape our relationships, the choices we make, the conversations we avoid and how secure we feel about the future.
Bringing together perspectives from financial planning, coaching and legal expertise, this session explores financial confidence, independence, protection and the importance of talking openly about money, whether you’re navigating finances with a partner, supporting family members or planning for your own future.
With relatable experiences and practical guidance, our panel will help you consider how to build healthier financial relationships, make informed decisions and create greater confidence and freedom for the years ahead.
Family Ties: When Love Gets Complicated
An honest and relatable conversation about family, changing relationships and the complexities of modern family life.
Family relationships can be among the most rewarding in our lives, but they can also be the most complicated. As families grow, change and evolve, so do the expectations, responsibilities and emotions that connect us.
This engaging discussion explores relationships across generations, parenting, changing family dynamics and the challenges of navigating separation, blended families and fractured relationships.
Through expert insight and real-life perspectives, we’ll consider how communication, understanding and healthy boundaries can help us navigate difficult moments, strengthen connections and find a way forward when family life isn’t straightforward.
Lunch & Networking
Enjoy a delicious lunch at Roehampton Club and take time to connect with fellow guests, speakers and experts. Explore our exhibitor stands, discover inspiring businesses and services, and continue the conversations sparked throughout the morning. From wellbeing and personal development to financial confidence and lifestyle, there’s plenty to discover, share and explore.
Afternoon Roundtable Workshops
In the afternoon, you’ll have the opportunity to take part in three interactive roundtable workshops, each lasting approximately 30 minutes. With a varied programme of expert-led sessions to choose from, you can explore the topics most relevant to your relationships, personal circumstances and the conversations that matter to you.
From self-confidence and communication to family dynamics, financial independence and personal wellbeing, our workshops offer a welcoming space to ask questions, share experiences and gain practical insight from specialists in their fields.
Each workshop host will usually repeat their session across the three time slots, giving you the flexibility to create your own programme, connect with others and leave with fresh perspectives and practical ideas to take into everyday life.
Our workshop hosts and individual session details will be announced shortly.

{Massive thanks to Sarah & the Really Helpful Club Team for inviting me along to the Family Matters Conference today at Roehampton Club SW15. If, like me, you’re juggling full time careers whilst caring for an elderly parent, it was insightful, inspiring and extremely thought provoking. There were really informative discussions and advice covering financial and legal planning, later life care, advice on the support available to us and how to broach some of those very sensitive conversations with our loved ones about putting wills and LPAs in place and arranging for care when required. And the importance of looking after ourselves in terms of physical and mental health as well as preparing and planning for our own later life to help ease some of the burden on our children. Brilliant guest speakers who covered every angle on what really matter within families to help prepare and put structure in place for the future. Thanks!
