Massive thanks to Sarah & the Really Helpful Club Team for inviting me along to the Family Matters Conference today at Roehampton Club SW15. If, like me, you’re juggling full time careers whilst caring for an elderly parent, it was insightful, inspiring and extremely thought provoking. There were really informative discussions and advice covering financial and legal planning, later life care, advice on the support available to us and how to broach some of those very sensitive conversations with our loved ones about putting wills and LPAs in place and arranging for care when required. And the importance of looking after ourselves in terms of physical and mental health as well as preparing and planning for our own later life to help ease some of the burden on our children.
