Could you be a CAREGiver?
Over the last eighteen months, the world has changed, especially the care sector. The pandemic has presented challenges, but we are really pleased with how the spotlight has turned on social care and how dedicated those who work in it are.
We are proud that our 160 strong team of CAREGivers are being recognised for their resilience, commitment and devotion to their clients at the hardest of times ever known to most of us. They truly are ‘heroes of care’ and are an exceptional bunch of ladies and gentlemen.
To be a CAREGiver with us, you would need to pass the ‘Mum Test’. Would you be suitable to care for our nearest and dearest.
Our CAREGiving heroes come from all walks of life; a retired ‘postie’ who missed the daily interaction with residents on his round; a trained florist who enjoys helping her client tend to her garden. CAREGivers who have either been a nurse or have an inner nurse inside, helping their clients with their personal care routine in the morning.
We have cooks, a pianist, artists and knitters, supermarket managers, electricians and teachers. We love the varied skills and experiences that come with our staff.
To be a CAREGiver with us, you need to be able to commit to a regular routine, but that can be as little as 5 hours a week. Our clients need continuity and expect to see that same familiar face every visit.
To single out one person to be recognised as a Care Hero would be impossible, as everyone has stepped up, followed protocols, isolated when told to do so, and took on more hours when many were ‘pinged.’
