What fear or worry have you dealt with?

end body shaming

What fear or worry have you dealt with?

As a teenager I always wanted to be a famous sports person.

I done ballet for a very short while until my mother and the ballet teacher came to the agreement that all grace was lost on me, that decision didn’t take very long.

I done gymnastics with a similar approach.

I wanted to do fencing but that didn’t fall on happy ears, so I done swimming and joined the german life saving training, that was better.

But I still wasn’t a star, but a round little plumfairy.

With 14 I found an answer… I had encountered the life of an eating disorder and I was no longer a ashamed plum fairy.

Then my best friends introduced me to competitive scuba diving, I found my tribe.

Because not only was I supposed to be good enough for myself but I needed a tribe who loved me, where I had a feeling of belonging.

This was the first time I had that.

Then I immigrated to South Africa and I became an excellent squash player, I hadn’t even thought about that.

And the journey carried on, I joined aerobic classes….me somebody with apparently no grace and coordination.

It took a while and 2 pregnancies further until I started teaching group exercises.

I found something I loved and was good in… teaching group exercises.

I also became a spinning instructor and eventually a pilates instructor and started cycling.

I was in my element, and I never thought that I would stand in front of other people and tell them what to do.

I found my groove.

But…

20 years of jumping about like an adrenalin bunny, a very physical abusive 6 years and never resting damaged my knees, back and neck.

Bugger this I thought….

There are so many people out there who need help to help their minds and body I will help them not to give up on themselves and find their groove and understand  their bodies and minds that will give them like me the confidence they need in life without bodyshaming, belittling themselves but finding the way to love themselves.

My story can help solve your story.
